I shared this kit with friends. Here's a few of my comments, which I'll try next time: 1 I got only 7 blocks, likely due to my over-measuring - I don't think I was shorted. Next time I'll divide into 8 equal parts. 2 Several of us saw green mold during the incubation. It disappeared, and didn't change the fruiting. The mushrooms were delicious. 3 My first harvest was half a pound, from only 2 of the holes. My next harvest is nearly ready, smaller and from 3 of the holes. 4 I'm surprised the DIY instructions don't suggest trying to sterilize, either in a pressure cooker or an Insta-Pot

Wonderful product!

All I had to do was follow the directions and then put the blocks in a humid tent when mushrooms started growing. I got four pounds of beautiful and delicious lion's mane from the first flush. Thank you, Field and Forest!

Great Starter

I'm now addicted to growing mushrooms. I used this kit to grow my eight blocks in mono tubs that I made myself. After getting three great fruitings, I'm now hooked and am ordering a grow tent to take the next step to controlling conditions. Great introductory kit.
