Outdoor 8-Block Sets

If logs seem too intimidating, you can grow a variety of mushrooms outdoors from ready-to-fruit blocks. Mushrooms grown outdoors will fruit when the temperatures are just right for the species and will have a natural robust appearance. Many blocks may yield several fruitings over a year or two depending on the strain and the environment. Simply take an 8-block outdoor set and mulch them in with wood chips or sawdust. This is best done in the spring or late summer-early fall. Maitake 8-Block Sets are seasonally available for summer burial (and will become available early summer and offered while supplies last).
