Note: Kit will start to fruit once it is brought to room temperature. To delay fruiting, especially when gifting, refrigerate upon receipt. Kit will remain dormant for up to 4 weeks refrigerated. Expect to harvest mushrooms 10-21 days after removing it from cold storage.

Once you receive your order, open shipping packaging immediately. Remove kits and spawn and store within the refrigerator until you are ready to gift or use it.

Mushrooms Galore!

I've wanted one of these kits for a long time and have done lots of research, but I was still surprised by how enjoyable it was to watch the mushrooms growing and how FAST they grew! Within a week of opening the box I harvested a huge crop of delicious mushrooms, and I've now turned around the block to start on the second side. I think this may just become a yearly tradition to brighten up my winter!

MOLD SPORES GALORE- Not for indoors!!!

Purchased this for my mom for a gift, ended up being horribly embarrassing. The vendor does NOT inform anywhere but if the mushroom is left out (ours was only out for 14 days, which is less than the "bloom time") it produces an explosion of spores (aka a white/grey powder) ALL OVER a 5 foot surrounding area. It was disgusting and a huge mess for my mom to clean up. I reached out to them and was basically told "sorry, we'll update the instructions" to let people know that happens. Not helpful. This should never be marketed as in indoor product for "table tops".

FFP Reply: Hi Abby, we apologize for the inconvenience. Mushrooms will drop their spores if not harvested in a timely manner, much like a bouquet of flowers will drop their petals and pollen after a certain amount of time. Unfortunately, we cannot predict exactly when mushrooms will be ready to harvest as it depends greatly on their growing environment, but as noted, we will include more detailed instructions in order to try to guide new growers to harvest their mushrooms before spore drop has a chance to occur.

This was our first time growing mushrooms and it was easier than I imagined. It was an awesome activity to do with my kids, who loved watching the process. Everyday there was new growth and intrigue. We used our first batch to make fajita filling like it recommended and it was delicious. Our very picky eater even tried it since he got to see them grow and felt invested in the experience. Can't wait for more to grow to try another recipe.

I loved this tabletop oyster mushroom garden! Could not believe how easy to grow-the second batch is starting now. It's fun to watch the daily progression and in a week you have a lot of fresh delicious mushrooms. I fried some in butter, garlic and thyme and added some to a parmigiana pasta sauce served with mushroom tortellini, both ways were really good. Can't wait to try a mushroom soup with batch 2 :-)

This table-top Oyster grow kit is incredible! I had the most beautiful (and delicious!) batch of oyster mushrooms in just over a week with zero effort, plus a whole second batch after the first. The instructions were super clear and also included pictures and a link to a video. Plus they have different ways to reach out with any issues, so I felt super informed and supported. I can't wait to get all the different varieties. Highly recommend!
