ORDERING

If you'd like to place an order by phone or have questions, our business hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CT. If you have a time-sensitive order requiring expedited shipping services, we recommend calling us at 800-792-6220. We accept VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover, as well as mailed in money orders and personal checks (US funds only). If using a check/money order, please call us first to place the order so that we can give you an order total and number to reference on your check. Your order will be sent when your payment is received. Pickup Orders: All pickup orders must be placed via phone prior to pickup. Date of availability will be discussed at time of order placement.

Catalog and online pricing are subject to change without notice. Although our goal is to deliver the highest quality spawn and supplies in a timely manner, spawn is a biological product and may need to be grown, so it may not be immediately available for shipment.

Hawaii Orders

Hawaii orders require an import permit from the Hawaii Department of Agriculture. Permits can be emailed to shipping@fieldforest.net (or mailed to Field and Forest Products). Please do not place an order before obtaining your permit!

Tax Exemption

We collect sales tax from the following states: AR, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, ME, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OH, VA, VT, WI, AND WV. Schools and universities are tax exempt, but we must have the tax ID (state sales tax exemption form or tax ID number) on file prior to order placement to reflect that status. Commercial growers should also file their tax exemption form with us in order to qualify for tax exempt status. Forms for tax exemption are available online on each state's Department of Revenue website. We encourage tax exempt customers to provide their tax exempt paperwork to us at least 48 business hours prior to placing an online order. Not doing so will result in a non-exempt order which cannot be refunded. Phone orders can be placed prior to exemption filing, but cannot be processed until we have received the tax exemption form. Volume Discount Pricing

Volume discount pricing for spawn applies to orders placed at one time, not accruing over a period of time or season. A large order may be broken up to ship over a maximum period of 8 weeks. Standing orders that meet our highest volume discount quantity when placed are exempt from this time restriction.

Limited Warranty & Liability

We warrant that our spawn is vigorous, and capable of producing mushrooms under proper growing conditions. Mushroom cultivation is farming and depends upon factors outside our control, such as substrate quality, environmental conditions and maintenance, Field and Forest Products cannot and does not guarantee success in terms of mushroom production.

Field and Forest Products' spawn, cultures or other products are not to be sold, transferred, marketed, or assigned, without our prior written consent. Customers may only use, re-isolate, or further propagate our spawn/cultures for their own personal use and/or consumption. Please note that spawn used for this purpose or used in a way not recommended by Field and Forest Products will NOT be covered under warranty or replaced for any reason. Use of Field and Forest Products' name, product names, trademarks, photographs, product descriptions, written materials, and/or any other copyrights without prior written consent is also strictly prohibited.

SHIPPING

Our website offers a variety of shipping options through FedEx, Spee-Dee and USPS Priority Mail. If you live in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and select locations within Michigan, Missouri, and Nebraska, we also offer shipping by Spee-Dee Delivery (a regional carrier with reduced rates). If you'd like to ship via Spee-Dee Delivery, please keep in mind that Spee-Dee DOES NOT provide tracking information, so if knowing the exact whereabouts of your package is required please choose another carrier.

SHIPPING COSTS: We do not up-charge for shipping. Please bear in mind that the shipping prices are directly set by the carriers and while we do have negotiated rates with FedEx, we still cannot compete with big-box stores for shipping rates. We also unfortunately do not have the resources to create our own shipping fleet as done by Amazon. If you have your own account set up with FedEx, UPS, or USPS that has other negotiated rates we are more than happy to ship product to you under your account.

FedEx also provides the option to ship "HAL" (Hold at Location) to a local Walgreens or Dollar General. Shipping to a business location can often save you money on the shipment cost in exchange for you completing the final leg of the journey. If you are interested in a "HAL" shipment please email or call us for a quote.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

We ship spawn and supplies to Canada and other select international destinations. Orders need to placed via e-mail (info@fieldforest.net) or over the phone (715-582-4997). We will quote the order with shipping, sales tax and customs brokerage fees. Once the package leaves our facility, Field & Forest Products is not liable for spawn held at customs clearance. Upon your acceptance of the order costs and liability, we will require payment information to finalize the order. Please allow a week for order quotes.

We also offer shipping of tools to select international locations (we do not ship spawn outside the U.S.). Please contact us via email or by phone for shipping costs and to place international orders for tools.

COVID SHIPPING UPDATE:

All three major shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, and USPS) have temporarily suspended their service guarantees for both ground AND air shipments (with the exception of FedEx Overnight Air Service), because of the increase in shipping demand due to COVID. This means that the carriers will not allow a claim to be filed for a delayed shipment for any reason.

We are letting our customers know so that they are aware of the situation and can make the best choice possible in deciding on when to have their order ship (taking into consideration temperatures while in transit, possible delivery delays, etc.)
