Although these two classes are separate programs that can be taken individually, they complement one another and are beneficial as a set. Register for both and save 10% (single workshops are $325/person). There will also be an after-class happy hour on Saturday at the Field & Forest Products spawn facility for attendees of both classes, providing a great opportunity for informal discussion, questions, and the chance to get to know fellow mycophiles.

Mushroom Spawn Making Workshop - February 22

Have you contemplated or even dabbled in spawn making but want to streamline your process, or tackle specific problems you've encountered along the way? This full day Mushroom Spawn Making Workshop covers everything you need to know for spawn generation: Culture acquisition (or tissue culturing), culture expansion, media selection and preparation, laboratory set-up and technique, reducing common contaminants... and much more!

Mushroom Block Production and Fruiting Workshop - February 23

Whether you are using your own homemade spawn or purchased spawn to inoculate and produce mushroom fruiting blocks, this workshop covers everything you need to know from substrate selection all the way through mushroom harvest.
