WR46™ is a popular commercial strain that offers the fastest spawn run, heavy first flushes and quick log recovery after fruiting. A great strain for first time growers and the best choice for high altitudes. Shows a slight preference for White Oak over Red Oak.

250 plugs will plant 5 logs, 500 plugs will plant 10 logs, and 1,000 plugs will plant 20 logs (about 50 plugs per log, based on an average log size of approx. 40" long and 4" in diameter).

I inoculated 4 oak logs with this WR46 plug spawn on May 21, 2023 in Atlanta, GA, alongside a couple other strains. Exactly 5 months later to the day (Oct. 21, 2023) I had my first flush of shiitakes from the WR46 logs! They came sooner than I was expecting! I've been able to get 2 great harvests from this first flush, and they're delicious!
