Tips and techniques that bring you health, great soil, clean water and exceptionally good eating! This workshop will teach you how to grow some of best eating mushrooms on the planet. Whether you have a yard with vegetables, a greenhouse, shaded area, or just a few flower pots, you can add active biology to your soils - increasing soil health while learning to become a skilled mushroom cultivator. Learn about growing and do hands-on planting of Wine Caps, Agaricus mushrooms, and Blewit beds. We will make cardboard spawn, learn about the effects of tillage and layering, talk about composting, creating organic matter, smothering weeds, and how to select and grow mushrooms to utilize a full cycle of garden waste.
Each participant will receive a free bag of Wine Cap or Almond spawn. Coffee, bakery in the morning, and lunch are included. Registration required by May 5. No refunds for cancellations after May 6. Class limit: 25.
