Plug Spawn Volume Pricing

Plug spawn is used to grow mushrooms on natural logs. Because it is easy to use, requires no special tools and available in small quantities, it’s a natural choice for smaller projects. Plug spawn is mycelium cultivated onto hardwood dowels which can be easily tapped into holes drilled into a log. Use a 5/16" wood bit with a 5/16" stop collar to inoculate small quantities of logs, or an 8.5mm screw tip bit with stop for larger volumes of logs. Once a log is inoculated you need to seal the top to prevent moisture loss. Plug wax is ideal for this task.

Plug Spawn is used with natural logs for Shiitake, Oyster, Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Maitake, Box Elder, and Nameko mushroom cultivation.

One unit of 750 plugs will inoculate approx. fifteen 4˝ by 40˝ logs.

Volume pricing is as follows:
1 unit = 750 plugs

1 -10 units      $32.00 ea.
11 - 19 units   $23.00 ea.
20 - 99 units   $19.50 ea.
100+ units      $15.00 ea.
