Lion's Mane sawdust spawn can be used via the standard "drill and fill" method as used for shiitake cultivation; however, an increasingly promising method is the "totem method," used on larger diameter rounds. Especially promising are rounds of beech and other medium-hard/medium-soft hardwoods. One 2.5 lb. bag of sawdust spawn should plant approx. 2-4 large rounds of wood. Instructions are included.
